Students need representatives that understand their modern worldview and 21st century dynamics, and the world into which they want to grow. Why should we hold them back with an outdated understanding of schools and education?

 

That's right, we shouldn't.

I'm CJ Blake and four things that make me a better representative are:

​

1. my Honours Bachelors degree in International Studies (University of Ottawa, 2017);

​

2.  representing post-secondary students on the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa (SFUO) Board of Administration and Residents' Association (RAUO);

​

3. my work experience with children as a camp counsellor and a crossing guard;

​

4. solid understanding of social networks and technology, and how they can be both a tool and hindrance to education;

​

I'm fighting for the education system our children need, including spending time learning outdoors; being taught an appropriate, not ancient, sex education they deserve; while surrounded by peers who will work with them

towards a more understanding and just society.

Students are our present and future,

and they deserve the best. 

That's why I'm giving them my best.
